# Collaborative workshops: sharing experiences (9 am-12 pm)

The aim of these workshops is to provide a framework for exchanging and sharing experiences on the methodologies and issues involved in collecting oral sources, archiving and transmitting living memory, particularly in the field of the performing arts. They will provide an opportunity to compare different approaches, to reflect collectively on the challenges they raise, and to highlight the tools on which they are based.

9:00-10:20 | "Listening to and collecting oral testimonies": how can we elicit the words of others, getting them to re-actualize a more or less defined past, a more or less buried experience, taking into account both the identity of the witness, his or her relationship to memory and speech, and the research objectives pursued? Particular attention will be paid to the spatio-temporal contexts in which the collections take place, and to the modalities of encounter they bring into play.

10:20-10:40 | Break

10:40-12:00 | "Archiving, valorizing and sharing oral testimonies": what to do with the testimonies collected, how to share them, and with whom? What are the actual or possible points of encounter with existing oral archives of the performing arts (radio resources, institutional databases, archive centers, creation and dissemination venues, in situ installations, etc.)? What are their strengths and limitations? To what extent is it possible to apprehend oral sources in their ecosystems and/or in their "totality"?
